Woody Woodward was an avid world traveler and motorcyclist, a founding member of the women’s Moving Violations Motorcycle Club of Boston, and worked as a limo driver, chimney sweep, mason, carpenter, roofer; as an English teacher in China; and as an archaeologist in England, Holland, and Peru.

In 2008, Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino of Boston proclaimed June 7, Gay Day, as “Donna ‘Woody’ Woodward Day”, in recognition of Woody’s work as a life educator, role model, and humanitarian.

Memorial donations may be made in Woody Woodward’s name to the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, Adventure for the Cures, 230 West Monroe, Suite 2528, Chicago, IL 60606, or to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer.
